Order Your Ohio State License Plate

The Tennessee Legislature has approved a new OHIO STATE License plate as of June, 2007.

The plate is available for ALL OHIO STATE Fans, alumni and others. Now all Buckeyes in Tennessee can show their support for The Ohio State Buckeyes and The Ohio State University Alumni Association.

To get the license plate designed, approved, and into production, we must first pre-sell 200 plates.

It is very important that we have the OHIO STATE plate 'on the road' by the beginning of the 2007 season.

Step 1 -- Order the Specialty or Personalized OHIO STATE plate for all of your vehicles (no motorcycles or commercial vehicles).

- Every Buckeye fan and supporter in Tennessee can order this plate using this order form
- The Middle Tennessee OHIO STATE Club will collect and submit all pre-orders & checks
- This web site www.capp.org will have an information page on the project status to keep you informed
- Your check will not be deposited until the total required plates are pre-ordered
- Tennessee Titles and Registration office will notify you directly when you are to pick up your plate at your county registration office
- When you do pick up your plate, you will pay the usual one year registration for the OHIO STATE Plate, less any unused portion of your current plate registration
- Print and complete the OHIO STATE license plate order form (1 form & 1 check for each vehicle)
- NOTE: Until Tennessee Titles and Registration officially adopts the OHIO STATE plate and includes it on their web site, you cannot directly submit license plate orders to them. Any 'early' orders will be returned to you.

Step 2 -- Encourage your Buckeye friends STATEWIDE to order their OHIO STATE license plates. You should receive an announcement email from us, your own Ohio State Club, or from The Ohio State University Alumni Association. We don't have an email address for all Tennessee Buckeyes, so be sure to email the announcement to your own Buckeye list or hand them the application form today -- make certain that all Tennessee Buckeyes get the word. Just remember CAPP.ORG - that's where Buckeyes should look on the web.

Step 3 -- HELP US ADVERTISE THE PLATE -- Print several window posters (WOODY or generic) for immediate and ongoing display (if you don't have a color printer, call Kinkos, etc - they will print it for a dollar or two - white card stock works best).

Place posters:

- in your vehicles' windows (please do this right now even if you don't order a plate) We want to see 1,000 car window posters across Tennessee beginning today
- in office cubicles
- on community bulletin boards
- all of your neighborhood sports bars
- you suggest a place

- Say CAPP.ORG to every Buckeye you meet
            Make up songs about CAPP.ORG
                        Do chants and cheers about CAPP.ORG

- Promote the new OHIO STATE license plate statewide. We're counting on your help in a big way!!! With all of us Tennessee Buckeyes working together to do our part, Ohio State is finally going to have a license plate in Tennessee!!

The Specialty plate has: (Final design and approvals are pending)

- the Ohio State logo and the words OHIO STATE
- the small vertically stacked letters OH
- and a four digit number.

Once the initial order quantities of the OHIO STATE plate are met, the Titles and Registration Dept. will notify you directly that you can pick up your new plate at your County Vehicle Registration office. You will get the next sequential number available at your County Vehicle Registration office.

When you do pick up your plate, you will pay the usual one year registration for the OHIO STATE Plate, less any unused portion of your current plate registration. In future years, $35 will be added to your standard registration fee at renewal time.

The Personalized plate has: (Final design and approvals are pending)

- the Ohio State logo and the words OHIO STATE
- five (5) character positions for the buyer's choice of upper case letters, numbers 0-9, and spaces
- you must use at least three (3) character positions

Your application should list three choices of character combinations in the event your first choice is not available. Please choose wisely since gentility will prevail.

During the pre-sell period, the Middle Tennessee OSU Club will group and submit the applications for OHIO STATE Personalized plates in the order they were received.

The final determination and assignment of character combination requests will be made by the Tennessee Titles and Registration Department. Be sure to include your phone number on your application so the Titles and Registration staff can contact you to discuss alternative combinations should that be necessary.

Once the initial order quantities of the OHIO STATE plate are met, the Titles and Registration Dept. will notify you directly so that you can pick up your new OHIO STATE Personalized plate at your County Vehicle Registration office.

When you do pick up your plate, you will pay the usual one year registration for the OHIO STATE Plate, less any unused portion of your current plate registration. In future years, $70 will be added to your standard registration fee at renewal time.
